Environmentally Friendly Solutions for the Treatment of Oil Sludge from Lagoons

Oil-containing residues such as oil sludge or oily effluents from lagoons, production processes, tank cleaning, or used oil collecting points are treated and subsequently energetically utilised. The treatment concept conserves fossil resources and is kind to the environment.

Mechanical treatment using decanters and self-cleaning separators makes sense both economically and ecologically.

The reliably operating centrifuges from Westfalia Separator are capable of separating water and solids from the oil producing a reusable oil with a high calorific value. The separated oil can be used in cement works or power stations as a fuel substitute.
